Our approach

ALPLA has experienced strong growth in recent years. Around the world, there were 21,600 people working for the company at the end of 2020. This means the responsibility that we have as an employer for our staff and their families has also increased.

The top priority is the safety and good health of our employees, including in politically unstable regions. Another fundamental prerequisite here is compliance with all labour law provisions and the equal treatment of all individuals. Our relations are characterised by fairness and honesty, a spirit of partnership and respectful treatment at all times.

Importance is attached in particular to a social and productive work environment and safe labour conditions. We are also aware of the fact that each and every employee contributes to the success of the company with their knowledge, which is why we set great store by continuing professional development, employee development and training up a new generation of workers in our training workshops.

Human resources are recruited and further developed by our HR teams at the corporate level and locally in the regions. The common aim is to implement our global standards as an employer equally in all regions and to serve as a role model.

Our activities in these areas are corroborated among other things by ISO 45001 certification, the EcoVadis Platinum status for sustainability and regular audits conducted by independent, external companies such as SMETA (SEDEX Members Ethical Trade Audit).
